9 Reasons Why You Should Consider Moving to Utah

Are you considering moving to Utah? You should! To show you why I say that, I’m sharing nine reasons why Utah is a fantastic state to live in and invest in: 

1. Great business opportunities. Utah has consistently been one of the greatest places to start a company due to great, pro-business policies. 

2. A low unemployment rate. Our unemployment rate is 2.2% right now, which is 3.5% lower than the national average.

3. A diverse economy. We have one of the most diversified economies in the nation, which would explain why Utah’s GDP didn’t drop during the start of the pandemic in 2020. 

4. The youngest median age. Utah’s median age is the lowest of all the states in the U.S.

5. Great population growth. Utah is the fastest-growing state and has been for the last 13 years. Plus, we have the highest birth rate. 

6. A low corporate tax rate. Utah has one of the lowest rates around. 

7. A highly ranked educational system. Utah’s educational system ranks among the top in the nation at No. 8. Plus, many of our colleges and universities rank among the best. In fact, my alma mater, Westminster College, just came in ranked fifth among colleges and universities in the Western United States. Plus, the University of Utah’s business school just came in fifth among all schools across the U.S. 

8. Relatively low rent prices. Rents have increased, but Utah is still very affordable. 

9. The amazing lifestyle. We have 12 ski resorts across Utah, and seven of them are among the top in the world. On top of that, we have five incredible national parks.
